Henry Seely Whitby

Director of Boots The Chemist (Grace also worked at Boots).
Known by BME Gee as Uncle Seely.

Spent 5 years pre WW1 in Royal Army Medical Group as volunteer, then he was called up. Later joined Royal Flying Corps as instructor and won Airforce Cross. He died of overwork. Source: GG tapes.

Henry married Grace Martin, daughter of Frank Martin and Lucy Martin, in 1919 in St Catherines, Nottingham. (Grace Martin was born in 1896 in Tonge, Leicestershire.)
