bullet  General Notes:

Employment status undefined in 1891 and 1901.
Aged 26 in 1891 census.
Gave birth to 13 children, 7 of whom died as infants (two were still born, and two more were buried within 14 days of each other). 3 buried in paupers' graves. Gave birth to Lucy when she was 49 - 6 months before Gertrudes' death. Said by Brown family (Rose Easom's mother) never to have laughed - but she is smiling on some of Hilda and James Caulton's photographs.
Rose Easom's great aunt, Nellie (b. 1910) remembers being taken for a walk by a neighbour with her cousin Lucy in a pram on the day of Gertrude's funeral. Apparently they were taken to watch the horses and stood on the pavement on the opposite site of the road. She said that Lucy spent alot of time at their house when she was a child.
Buried in plot 745 in Kirkby Old Cemetery (no headstone).
